Friends of Sonoita Creek (www.sonoitacreek.org) is offering a presentation and workshop March 14-17 in Patagonia, AZ on Rapid Stream Assessment by Dr. Peter Stacey, Research Professor, Univ. of New Mexico.

Rapid Stream-Riparian Assessment, Dr. Peter Stacey

Dr. Stacey will present a protocol that allows citizens and managers to efficiently understand the health of a stream in arid environments in the western US. These ecosystems are subject to drought, inundation, human impacts and open-range cattle. He will include observations made on Sonoita Creek in 2014.
